Robotics Automation Design Lab
Robotics Engineering Intern
For the Human-Empowering Robotics and Control Exo-Prosthesis project, I designed and constructed a test bench, including all electrical components required to amplify signals, reduce noise, and convert six analog signals from a Force Torque Sensor into digital signals. I utilized an oscilloscope to ensure the desired output voltage was achieved and verified that digital signals activated the appropriate outputs for two actuators by decoupling a matrix and converting voltage to force. Additionally, I designed and documented an electrical circuit as a schematic, constructed a test circuit, and developed, debugged, and modified Python and C++ code to achieve seamless hardware and software integration.

Robotics Engineering Intern [ER4]
Contributed to the Lunar Terrain Vehicle Ground Test Unit by supporting electrical systems and assembly. Operated test beds to assess avionic boxes and wheel modules, ensuring functionality and communication efficiency, including testing Elmo Motion Controllers. Fabricated high-voltage cables, wiring, and cable harnesses using Altium Designer schematics. Diagnosed and resolved issues in suspension, steering, propulsion, and avionic boxes through continuity tests and root-cause analysis, identifying wire breaks, broken pins, and inoperative crimps. Modified programmable control boards and optimized common ground isolation between integrated circuits and the motherboard to achieve enhanced safety standards.

Software & Hardware Integration
I worked on software and hardware integration projects that focused on augmented and mixed reality. Designing and programmed a user interface for augmented reality using C# in Unity, integrating 3D Digital Content Creation tools for interactive visual experiences and managing algorithms through GitHub. Developing prefabs compatible with the Mixed Reality Toolkit and implemented a communication system in Unity for an analog astronaut mission, supporting the Construction of a Habitat Inside a Lunar Analog Lava-Tube. Additionally, debugging and interfacing with telemetry streams, integrating a 3D prefab navigation system that utilized LiDAR scans of the environment to enhance spatial awareness as part of the 2022–2023 NASA SUITS challenge.

Chevron Engineering Academy
Student Worker- Recruitment Lead
I supported the Associate Director in recruitment efforts, ensuring all marketing leads were effectively targeted. Collaborating with three Program Specialists across Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio, I assisted in serving nine academies. Through phone campaigns, I reached over 1,000 leads in 2022–2023, providing detailed information on the application process and serving as the primary point of contact for parents and students. My efforts contributed to the successful recruitment of over 500 students for the 2023 cohort. Additionally, I supported the Project Manager with industry outreach, delivered testimony at the Career Center’s Recruiter Seminar to an audience of 85+ recruiters, and represented the program at the 2022 White House Summit for the Security of Defense.

Advanced Possum Space Academy Graduate
Conducted research on atmospheric phenomena, including the mesosphere and noctilucent clouds, to study their effects on space physiology. As part of this work, I received hypoxia training at an altitude of 25,000 feet in a normobaric chamber, acquiring skills for safe spacesuit operation and understanding the physiological and behavioral effects of hypoxia. I participated in a suborbital simulation as a scientist-astronaut, operating instrumentation in a real-time analog environment to evaluate the impacts of payload and physiology. Additionally, I engaged in spaceflight simulations in a Super Decathlon aerobatic aircraft, analyzing physiological responses in high- and low-G environments. Only 10 students internationally are chosen to participate.
